Several people are dead and officials expect the number to rise after a high rise fire in West London. The blaze in the 24-storey Grenfell Tower broke out while most people were still sleeping. A witness says one desperate woman threw a baby out of a high window and a man on the ground managed to catch the child. The entire building is destroyed and there are fears it could collapse.
One lane of the Fort Erie bound QEW will likely be closed for most of the day. The rest of the highway re-opened early this morning after a truck carrying dangerous goods rolled over near Martindale Road yesterday. No one was hurt and no phosphine leaked.
Today is the third day jurors will be deliberating the fate of Bill Cosby. The 79-year old comedian is charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault. Cosby remains confident he will be cleared. He left the courthouse yesterday shouting the “Fat Albert” catchphrase “hey, hey, hey” and giving a thumbs-up.
