STUDENT MISSING: A spokesman for the Toronto District School Board says a high school student is missing and presumed drowned on a school outing in Algonquin Park. The student is 15 year old Jeremiah Perry from C.W. Jeffreys Collegiate Institute. The trip is being cut short and the rest of the 37 students are being picked up.
BELLY ACHE: Rapper Belly is in a fued with the City of Toronto after his performance during the Canada Day finale Monday night at Nathan Phillips Square. The rapper used some curse words and some weren’t too happy about it. Some Councillors want an apology but Belly says they knew he’d be using profanity. He’s taken to Twitter to respond to the criticism saying “they will never censor my art”.
WARD’S ISLAND OPEN: Most of the Toronto Islands are CLOSED thanks to flooding but the business owner’s on Ward’s Island want to make it clear, they are OPEN! You can stroll the boardwalk or eat at the Island Cafe. Ferry service to the island is limited but you’re good to go if you’re visiting a resident or have a restaurant reservation.
