BBQ BRUSHES: Just how safe is your wire barbecue brush? Health Canada is looking into bristle BBQ brushes after 9 people have been injured. They’re trying to figure out if certain brushes are better than others or if its just age causing the bristles to come loose. If you need to clean your BBQ, try soaking the grates in coffee or using a ball of aluminum foil.
SEARS SALES: Got plans for Friday? If you love a good deal, you might be lining up outside of Sears. Lawyers for Sears Canada say liquidation sales could start this Friday (July 21st) if a Toronto judge gives the green light.
WASP TRAP KILLS BIRDS: Loblaws has pulled a product meant for catching wasps off their shelves after it killed several birds. Jessie Wall says over 5 days the TrapStik trapped and killed 7 chickadees. On Home Depot’s website, some customers rated the product highly for killing wasps but several other posters said the TrapStik caught birds.
PENIS-BERG: This is one you might not want to Google at work! A picture of a large iceberg near northern Newfoundland is going viral, because of a long, tubular piece of ice resembling a certain part of the male anatomy. Nova Scotia-based horticulture instructor Jamie Ellison snapped the picture. It’s now been dubbed “penis-berg”.
